Hey downtown guy - thanks for stopping by. I definitely wouldn't consider Sumo Sabi fast food, more like Panera or Atlanta Bread Company. I'm a fan of Publix sushi, too. They make it easy! Haven't been to Rice Bowl yet, but will give it a try.
It is good but pricey, went on the opening day and it was absolutely awesome.. good amount for the price I paid. But recently have been in and the quality is declining.
Hey Sushilover. Unfortunately, I haven't been to Sumo Sabi recently so am not sure. If you're a die- hard sushi lover, you may like Masa or SushiLicious (just haven't written reviews on them).
this was my first and last time at sumo sabi, the quality of the food was just horrible i ordered the spicy suzi which states that it has three different types of fish. Instead i got two scoops of what looks like mushed up fish. It didn't look appetizing at all, i get fresher sushi from mr robotos or even publix for about the same price. Definitely not worth the time or money!
i had heard decent reviews about sum sabo so i was anxious to try it, i guess the quality has declined greatly because the food looks nowhere near what was advertised on their website. im sad it was such a disappointment
Sounds a little pricey for fast food. (Although I have been known to enjoy Publix sushi plates, so I'm no snob about it.) Have you tried Rice Bowl?

ReplyDeleteIt's worth driving out that way. I like being able to get good Thai soup and sushi at the same place.
ReplyDeleteI have become addicted to Summo Sabi as my office is not too far from it. While it is pricey, it offers a new place to eat.
ReplyDeleteWish I worked closer. Perhaps I'll be making another trip out that way to get my sushi fix.

ReplyDeleteAnon - thanks for the update, it's a shame the quality is declining.
ReplyDeleteHas anyone tried sumo sabi recently? How is the quality now?
ReplyDeleteI'm a sushi lover coming into Tallahassee soon and I'm curious about fast sushi and this 'evolution'.. Thanks!
